The City of Carlsbad owns this room. Carlsbad Live does not book it. A request on this site does not reserve the date until the City executes and signs the agreement.

The Event Center is a hall for weddings, banquets, town halls, trainings, meetings, and other community events. In 2026 the City took ownership and put it under Community Development. It is about about 5,200 square feet and can hold up to 350 guests. There is a ballroom that can be rented whole or in half, a lobby, restrooms, and a food preparation and staging area.
Food is prepared off-site. The kitchen is for serving, warming, staging, and holding. No cooking in the kitchen. Alcohol needs a licensed provider, liquor-liability insurance, and whatever security the law and the City require.

Fees from the City agreement
Per day for the hall. Dance floor, projector, and the deposit are flat amounts on the agreement.

Half of the rental fees are due when the City signs. The rest is due 10 days before the event. The $1,000 deposit is refundable after the City inspects, less any charges the agreement allows.
